The client experience is the product (yes, even for filmmakers)

You're not selling a video file. You're selling how the couple feels when they open the link. Design the last ten feet.

June 10, 2026 · The Curanta team

For years, filmmakers have optimized every step of the process except the last one. We spend on lenses, on color grades, on sound design — and then we hand the finished piece off in the least designed part of the entire pipeline.

The delivery is the last thing your client sees, so it becomes the first thing they remember.

What a client actually experiences

  • They get a text with a link. That's the moment.
  • They tap. Two seconds pass. Either something beautiful loads, or a folder does.
  • If it's beautiful, they screenshot it and send it to their mom. That's your brand doing the marketing.
  • If it's a folder, they think "cool, I'll download this later" and never do.

Small details that punch above their weight

  • A cover clip that autoplays, muted, in the aspect ratio it was cut for.
  • Your logo — not somebody else's — at the top.
  • A one-tap favorite button so they can flag the shots they love.
  • A friendly empty state instead of a stack trace when something goes wrong.

None of these things change the edit. All of them change how the edit is received. That's the last ten feet.
